APAQ Group is proud to be awarded the tender by Housing & Development Board (HDB) to design, supply, install, operate and maintain an environmental sensors network in Tampines residential estate over a period of 2.5 years.

The main objective of the study is to understand and assess the impact of cool coating on urban surfaces on roof, facade, and pavement as a mitigation strategy for the Urban Heat Island (UHI) effect. It is one of the largest ever study of its kind worldwide with over 58 nodes and over 200 meteorological sensors deployed across corridors, carparks, rooftops, street canyons and other locations.

Some parameters that are measured include air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, wind direction, net radiation, heat flux, globe temperature, surface temperature and indoor thermal comfort.
