What is a data logger?
A data logger is a compact, battery-powered device equipped with an internal microprocessor, data storage, and one or more sensors or sensor ports. The Data Logger is now a popular choice in addition to most Automatic Weather Stations (AWS). It enables weather data to be processed automatically by a computer and viewed on both local displays and on remote websites.
APAQ Group can design the data logger to be the perfect solution for any meteorological client.
The main functions of a data-logger are:
-
Measurement - Data logger collects information from every sensor and archives it
-
Calculation - Data logger processes most of the meteorological data for users
-
Data storage - Data logger saves all data either on its own memory or on an external memory card
-
Power supply - Data logger can also manage the power supply of an Automatic Weather Station by using a solar panel
-
Communication - Data logger can manage communication protocols with the remote server
